Rebecca Nutt PHR, SHRM-CP is a driven entrepreneur with 15 years of recruiting experience, a loving mom, a wife of 21 years and the President and Founder of Agency 8. Rebecca had an established career in the staffing industry, however as her career progressed she was torn between taking more responsibility at work or taking care of her special needs child. Rebecca experienced the dilemma many modern professionals experience: Do I further my career or take care of my children? After much deliberation, Rebecca discovered that she can do both by creating her own Staffing Agency, Agency 8.
As Rebecca started her business, she reflected on what was missing in the staffing industry and saw that it was people who cared. Rebecca has made it a point in her business to always give back to the community and give appreciation to every single candidate that sends in a resume. Additionally, she has volunteered as a SHRM Lobbyist in Capitol Hill for six years speaking on behalf of SHRM to Texas Senators and Representatives for important HR issues. As an active Volunteer, she has organized “Dress For Success” charity events, UHCL Resumania and mock interviews, Dickinson ISD career days, Habitat for Humanity “All Women Build” event and she is an avid supporter of United Cerebral Palsy/Easter Seals.
