Signed into law by President Trump on March 18, 2020 and will go into effect no later than April 2, 2020, and will be effective through December 31, 2020.

Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act

  • Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act Mandates no cost-sharing or no prior authorization required for certain services and products related to the detection of COVID-19 or SARS
  • Provides employer tax credits for paid sick leave and paid FMLA to leave
  • Expands food assistance
